Hi there— we are Sarah and Elle. We met in August 2021, on tinder of all places. After a few years of covid, both of us were excited to dip our toes back into the dating world…..and the rest is history. We each came into the relationship with our own love of the outdoors, and this has only grown during our time together.

During her twenties, Elle lived in both Canada and Japan, gaining a qualification as a ski instructor (her other passion!) and falling in love with mountain town living. Sarah, on the other hand, had left university with a Masters in Engineering and was making her way in the engineering world.

About six months after meeting, we took the plunge on our first adventure together - a rusty old Ford Transit campervan. With the help of (both) our parents, we fixed up our ride and took her all over Scotland. Some of our favourite memories together are still cosy-ing up with a campervan meal (usually burritos) after hiking or wild swimming in the north of our homeland.

Fast forward another six months, and we decided to take our adventure global. Sarah had been craving the opportunity to live abroad, and with world traveller and “professional expat” Elle, it was a no-brainer. Elle had actually previously had a visa for New Zealand that she wasn’t able to use during covid, so we decided to let fate (and the New Zealand government) decide. If they would allow Elle to extend her visa and enter the country post-covid, then we would go for it. A few weeks later, we were planning our move.

Another year and a bit has passed and here we are, living it up in the South Island of New Zealand! Join us as we tell you all about our adventures in the outdoors, facing our own challenges and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zones (and maybe inspiring you to do the same…!).
